Enjoy dishes crafted with the finest seasonal ingredients
that inspired our chef during his travels around Kyushu.
Kirishima Salmon, Itoshima Umakaya pollock roe, Nakayama black beef curry,
carefully selected freshly-cooked rice, jam, miso soup, pickles and smoothies
are just some of the delicacies to invigorate your body with a burst of flavor
as you enjoy a luxurious morning.

Chiharu Takei

After training at Chez Inno and Taillevent Robuchon,
Chiharu Takei moved to France at the age of 28,
where he honed his craft at three-star restaurants
such as Joël Robuchon and Troisgros.
Upon returning to Japan in 1998, he became Executive Chef of
the Mikuni Marunouchi restaurant and of an auberge in Izu,
before assuming his current position
as Executive Chef of Sankara Hotel & Spa Yakushima.

ONSEN

The bliss of a natural hot spring and spectacular views

Our public bath features both open-air and indoor baths.
The hot spring water sourced from 800 meters underground
has a rich texture reminiscent of beauty essence,
and is known for its skin beautifying properties.
